Today is a very exciting today. One where two updates come out side-by-side.

Originally the "Spooky" update was supposed to release on the first hour of October but came out hours earlier due to personal reasons. In the spooky update we have brought in some fun little goodies for you as well as a mini update to the original game "PvP Parkour".

 


GHOST HUNT

It's common knowledge that you cannot have halloween without some ghosts so we've hidden some of these little heads around the Main and Creative lobbies (20 in Hub, 17 in Creative)

For each ghost you find you will get some progress into the "Ghost Hunter" achievement set as well as 100 Coins in a random game. However, Upon finding ALL the ghosts in the Creative and Main lobbies you will be rewarded with 2000 Coins in ALL games. Pretty neat right?


CORRUPTED GAMES

Throughout october you will have a chance (1 in {days to halloween} chance) for your game to be corrupted. Depending on the game you are playing this will create some crazy things.

In PvP Parkour it is known to speed up the entities and tick rate as well as give you a lot of extra items, While in UHC SkyWars it's known to unlock ALL your perks, give you 3x chest loot and go straight into deathmatch.

Getting into a corrupted game will reward you with a special achievement and winning the corrupted game will give you an even more special achievement


UPDATED LOBBIES

Throughout the entirety of October the Oricraft lobbies will be using their "Spookified" varients which will give you some fun little gags from the entities being zombies (And minor name changes!), to the mob arena having a lot of Jack-O-Lanterns!

While that is all the "Spooky" update has to offer (Excluding the 50% Off Sale in the Oricraft Store) we still have the mini-update added to PvP Parkour changing how it plays quite a bit

 


TEAM WORK

PvP Parkour has always been about team work but the old system made it less team-work and more... One person carries, whole team wins. This system has been scrapped and replaced for a newer system that promotes helping your team reach the end as well!

From; One player reaching the end to win for the team

To; The whole team has to reach the end to win


This is a big change. BUT if you fail to reach the end on time the team with the most players who reached the end wins the game automatically.


LAUNCH PUFF

The launch puff is quite important in PvP Parkour maps, It allows you to go up such high jumps quickly but the major problem with it is everyone kept flinging into the wall.

So the launch puff has been made much easier that instead of flinging you the direction you are looking it flings both upwards AND the direction you are looking which will make a lot less faces in the wall


Welcome to The Oricraft Network's first major update titled the "Extended Horizon" update. This update is a two part update with
part one focusing on PvP Parkour and part two (releasing second half of this month) focusing on UHC SkyWars.

In this update we have added many new features that will change the entirety of the network with features as such:

 

THE EYE

Oricraft's Anti Cheat has entered into its Alpha Stage only in PvP Parkour blocking movement cheats creating a much more
fair environment for the PvP Parkour Gamemode

The Eye uses Packet Listening to verify every action the player uses in an Async form minimizing the lag the server
will receive! During tests we were proud to say that it even successfully blocks the bypasses built into hacked clients without any issues!

The eye will be constantly updated to prevent all cheats while trying to remain as accurate as something can be to prevent
banning of legit players. (During Alpha "Bans" are just kicks)

 


 

NEW CLASS - SENTRY

PvP Parkour releases its first new class titled under "Sentry". This class allows you to place a turret
ANYWHERE in the map that shoots an arrow every 1.5s with a limit of 64 arrows. If shot once then the
turret will be destroyed

The best strategy to deal with the Sentry's turret is to out play its very simple movements causing it
to shoot a wall instead of you then you shoot it straight after!

 

NEW MAP - MINESHAFT

The Mines are a very deadly place indeed. That is no exception for this mine!

Lava everywhere you turn and to make matters worse... Minecarts will fall from the sky
creating a massive explosion!

 

 

NEW MAP - SNOW WORLD

I hope you brought a jumper because this map is going to take a while! One of the hardest maps to be released
to the PvP Parkour area introducing an abundent of four-block jumps, corner jumps... And of course the new special...

FALLING BLOCKS! Be careful as these can be dangerous!

 


 

 

ACHIEVEMENTS

At long last achievements exists on the oricraft network! Play games and complete achievements resulting in
unlocking classes for your hard work! (Soon)

 

PLAYER NPCS

No more zombies for your class selector! Now you have models with player skins standing there to click
Using outward packets you will see something there... But the server wont. This quite the amount of CPU
the server needs to process. No more 24/7 Loaded Chunks.

 

STATISTICS

Statistics "Existed" on the server but for some reason leaving caused it to be erased. This bug has been
resolved with a whole new statistics system! Now your stats will save permanently!

 


 

For the first half of the update this is currently all we have ready! Be prepared for the second half as it doesn't end here!

So sit back, Play some games and as always enjoy your time on the ORICRAFT NETWORK!


We will not be making this game due to the fact that there is already one game planned that follows a Similar but not at all exact idea

 

The game we have planned is already visible in the Game Selector titled under "Islands" where you will have to defend your Islands tower that keeps your Island floating in the sky from enemy teams.


Private lobbies 4 months ago

It is planned to make private games (not lobbies) in the future for those with "YouTube" rank (and above)
